Message from Mike Jordan:
"Dear Stan,
Thank you and all of the members of the THS Class of '65 for your kind invitation to the 50th reunion.
I feel very honored and humble that you would include me among your classmates even though my family moved at the end of my eighth grade year. Due to some health issues in my family, I will not be able to attend, but would love to come at some future time.
Both my brother bob, who did graduate from THS, and I agree that our time in Thomasville were very formative years for us.
I look back on some of our teachers- Kitty Montgomery, Coach Withers, Tommy Beard, Priscilla Brinkley Joyce - as among the best I ever had, on any level...
In 7th grade, I was a 5'4", 67 lb fourth string center on a little league football team with 27 boys (you do the math on that one!). In 8th grade, a substitute on on a Little League basketball team that never won a game...but I did manage to foul out one game.
All of these experiences somehow gave me the background for good things in college and high school athletics...
Thanks again for your kind invitation...
Gratefully yours,
Mike Jordan"

Something you will all remember, the THS Bulldogs '64 WNCHSAA Championship. Many of our class were part of " 'This is my best team ever,' said Cushwa." (Make sure you wait out the ad for Thomasville Medical. Watch the game.) Great find by Michael 'Mickey' Cox! Here's the video link
