James (Jim) McCulloch, III
1946-08-06 2014-08-24James L. McCulloch, III (Jim) 68, of Moneta passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James L. McCulloch, Jr.; stepmother, Jerry and his father-in-law, E. Lee Stone, Jr.
Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lana Stone McCulloch; daughter, Michaela T. Freeland and husband, Jeff; granddaughter, Logan R. Myers; mother, Dorothy P. Scoggins; brother, Steven C. McCulloch and wife, Pam; step-sisters, Dixie, Brenda, Sheila; Triple T. Hunt Club family and many fishing buddies.
He was a member of First Church of the Brethren and retired from Norfolk and Western General Offices.
Funeral services will be at 2pm on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with Pastor Dava Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Scruggs Fire and Rescue Squad, PO Box 899, Hardy, VA 24101.

Lana, I am so sorry to hear about Jimmy's untimely death. Jimmy and I were neighbors and good friends in high school and we had great times together.
